Saiz is a member of the Ponca tribe of Nebraska. Formerly the American Indian Advisor/Recruiter in Admissions at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Saiz currently works at the Madison Community Health Center and participates in the Native American Health Work Group at the UW-Madison. Saiz joined Call for Peace Drum & Dance Company in 1994 as a traditional Native American woman dancer. Saiz says she dances because dancing is a spiritual endeavor; she is a sun dancer who recognizes the drums as the heartbeat of our nations and as the inspiration for her dance.
