Nassalang is from Senegal, West Africa and has an extensive background choreographing and dancing with a Senegalese dance troupe throughout Africa. He acted in the film production Twiste a Popenguine (Twisting in Popenguine), has danced with the dance troupe Ko-Thi and is currently teaching at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Nassalang has danced with Call for Peace Drum & Dance Company since 2001.
